Therapy FAQs

What happens during a consultation?

The consultation is a free 15-minute phone call where we get to know each other. You will have a chance to share what you are looking for, ask me any questions about therapy, supervision, or coaching, and get a sense of whether I’m the right fit for your needs. I’ll also explain how I work, what services I provide, and what the next steps would look like if you decide to move forward. There’s no pressure to commit – the goal is simply to make sure you feel comfortable and informed.

Do you take insurance?

No, I am an out-of-network, private-pay provider. However, many clients with PPO plans are able to submit “superbills” to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Do you provide a Good Faith Estimate?

Coaching FAQs

What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy focuses on healing emotional wounds, improving mental health, and treating clinical issues such as anxiety or depression. Coaching, on the other hand, is future-oriented. It’s designed to help you clarify goals, stay accountable, and make practical progress in your personal and professional life.

What types of goals can coaching help with?

Coaching can support academic and career planning, time management and study skills, productivity, stress reduction, staying active and engaged, and working on personal growth. Many clients use coaching to break old habits and build new routines that align with their values.

Do you work with clients outside of California for coaching?

Yes, coaching is not therapy, so I can work with clients across the United States and internationally.

How much is your coaching session?

30 minutes coaching session – $120

Is coaching covered by insurance?

No, coaching is not covered by insurance. It’s private-pay service.
